Privacy policy

Who we are

Kingston Print is an online print shop operated by Data Engineering Consulting SARL, Douala, Cameroon. Contact: contact@kingston-print.com · WhatsApp +237 6 99 78 65 14.

What we collect, and why

• Your contact details (name, phone number, optional email, delivery address): to prepare, confirm and deliver your order, and to reach you if a photo is a problem.
• The photos and files you send: only to print them. We do not publish them, do not analyse them for any other purpose and only share them with the workshop that does the printing.
• Your orders and designs: for tracking, the history in your account and reprints at your request.
• Your account (if you create one): email address and encrypted password, to find your orders again.
• Technical data: IP address and connection logs, kept for 30 days for the security of the service.
• Audience measurement: the website uses Google Analytics to count visits and understand which pages are viewed (page views, device type, country, source of the visit). This data is aggregated and is not used for targeted advertising. Google Analytics only loads after you agree in the banner shown on your first visit; you can change your mind at any time with the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

Access to the photos on your phone

The app asks for access to your gallery only when you choose photos to print, and only sends the ones you select. It does not read your photos in the background. Camera access is only requested if you choose to take a photo from the app.

How long

• Photos and print files: deleted 90 days after the order is delivered (long enough for a possible reprint).
• Orders and invoices: 10 years, an accounting obligation.
• Account: as long as it is active; deleted at your request.

Who we share with

With our partner print workshops, which only receive the files to print and the technical instructions — never your name, phone number or address. With our hosting provider (servers in Europe) and, for mobile payment once it is offered, with the payment operator, which only receives the amount and the reference. We never sell or rent any data.

Your rights and deleting your data

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data by writing to contact@kingston-print.com or on WhatsApp. Deleting an account erases your contact details and your designs; orders already invoiced are kept anonymised for accounting. In accordance with Cameroonian law no. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data.

Security

Encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, file access through temporary links, backed-up servers. No system is infallible: if an incident affects your data, we will inform you.

Children

The service is intended for people aged 16 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated and important changes are announced in the app.
